Website Woes & Wasted Time: My 2.5-Hour Ordering Nightmare 😡
I'm sharing my recent shopping experience as a warning to others considering buying glasses online. The GlassesUSA web site was so messed up it took me 2-1/2 hours to purchase two pairs of glasses. I was not able to type in my prescription and save it to continue my purchase, so I will have to be sent an email so I can type in the information that I already typed in on your silly web site. I am not sure I will ever attempt to order glasses from GlassesUSA ever again. The entire process was so very frustrating and certainly a waste of my time. This level of frustration is what pushed me to contact their customer service, hoping for some kind of resolution.
Customer: I just spent over two hours fighting with your website. It wouldn't save my prescription and now, after all that, it says I have to re-enter it in an email? This is ridiculous.
CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear about the difficulty you had with our website. That is certainly not the experience we want for our customers, and I understand how frustrating that must have been.
Customer: Frustrating is an understatement. It was a complete waste of my evening. I don't want to re-type all that information again. Can't you fix it?
CS Rep: I completely understand. I can take your prescription information right now and manually add it to your order to save you the trouble. To apologize for the inconvenience, I can also apply a 15% discount to your purchase.
Customer: Fine. Let’s just get this over with.
