Let me tell you about my latest online shopping experience, which was nothing short of terrible, a cautionary tale for anyone considering this website. I'd ordered from them before without issues, so I didn't understand the negative reviews. But this time, it felt like "this place is nothing more than an automated business that cares nothing about its customers." I paid for "next day delivery," only to receive an email hours later saying my "order is in process and will take 3 business days." This was infuriating, clearly not meeting the service I paid for. When trying to resolve this, it was "impossible to get ahold of a live person to actually help get this resolved," dealing with "automated bots" and an "endless phone system." The entire ordeal forced me to engage with customer service, hoping for a simple refund for a service not provided, and now, to share my story.
Customer: Hello? I've been trying to reach a human for hours. My order was supposed to be next-day delivery, and I paid extra for it, but now I'm told it will take 3 business days. What is going on? CS Rep: I apologize for the difficulty you've had reaching us and for the confusion regarding your delivery. I see your order for Plano lenses and the next-day shipping fee. It appears there was a processing delay. Customer: A processing delay? I paid $19.95 for next-day delivery. That's a service you didn't provide. I want that shipping fee refunded immediately. CS Rep: I completely understand your frustration. You're right, if the next-day delivery service was not rendered as promised, you are entitled to a refund for that specific charge. I can process a full refund of the $19.95 shipping fee for you right now. Customer: Good. And what about the delay itself? Why was it even offered if you couldn't fulfill it, especially for plano lenses that don't need a prescription? This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating. CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the miscommunication and for the frustration this has caused.
